Be sure to treat your furniture right! Our furniture is held to the highest quality standards and we have included some tips for care to be sure your furniture lasts for a long time. Do you have any questions or comments to add? Let us know at support@monvella.store
LEATHER
Protect your leather furniture from direct sunlight and heat to avoid bleaching.
Never place in front of a radiator or in a warm sunny area.
For general cleaning, use a soft, dry cloth.
If necessary, entire leather surfaces can be wiped down with a cloth and soapy water.
When vacuuming leather surfaces, make sure to use soft brushes to avoid scratches.
For long-term care, it is also recommended to condition leather occasionally using a suitable leather conditioner. Conditioning helps restore natural moisture, keeps the leather soft, and reduces the risk of cracking over time.
WOOD
Wood is sensitive to light. For the first 6-8 weeks, try to avoid leaving things on furniture surfaces that are exposed to light for an extended amount of time. This will help to avoid stains and rings related to bleaching. New furniture pieces darken with time, so after a time they will perfectly match older pieces.
Wood is sensitive to liquids. Ensure to wipe up any spilled liquids immediately.
Water should be used sparingly on wood surface, and only with a damp cloth. Do not apply a soaking wet cloth to wood and ensure to thoroughly dry surfaces after cleaning.
UPHOLSTERED FURNITURE
If possible, the seat and back cushions should regularly be turned over to ensure their durability and wear evenly.
Cushions filled with foam, feathers, or fibers should be shaken regularly to maintain their shape.
Make sure your sofa’s feet are fastened securely and checked regularly.
If you have to move your sofa or armchair, make sure not to drag it over the floor to avoid scratches on the floor, feet, or frame.
